Please note:

1. See to equal size or diameter of the food to be cooked.

2. Take care that the liquid in the water pot of the cooker does not touch the food.

3. See to it that the lid fits well in order to keep the steam from escaping, which would extend the cooking period.

4. Cook the food in one layer only or adjust the cooking period accordingly.

5. Leave some space between the food for the steam to circulate better between it and to cook more efficiently.

6. Don't use the Mona Steam Food Cooker without water in the water pot.

    Operating instructions

  • 1. Pour two litres of clean and fresh water into the water pot; the water level should not be less than about 2.5 cm (one inch) below the mark.
  • 2. Now put the perforated dish on the water pot. It must not fit loosely or askew.
  • 3. Lay the food to be steamed in the perforated dish and cover it properly with the steel lid.
  • 4. Turn the discharge valve to the left almost to off position.
  • 5. Now the Mona Steam Food Cooker is ready for cooking.
  • 6. At the end of the cooking period, turn the valve to the right to let the trapped steam escape.
  • 7. Wait some time, then remove the lid to take out the cooked food.
  • Cooking periods

  • 1. Chicken: 20-25 min.
  • 2. Mutton: 40-45 min.
  • 3. Beef: 50-60 min.
  • 4. Fish: 15-20 min.
  • 5. Vegetables: 10-15 min.
